According to UGC, currently, there are 340 private universities in the country offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a wide range of disciplines. 

Some of the emerging top private universities in the country are as listed below:

Chandigarh University (Punjab)

Chandigarh University (CU) is a private University established in 2012 offering UG, PG courses in multiple disciplines. It is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade in the first cycle itself, making it among the few universities to do so.
