New Delhi: The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has written to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya requesting him to start the NEET PG 2023 Counselling Process in July. This happened a day after the NEET PG Results were declared by NBE.
Requesting early counselling for NEET PG 2023, FORDA said: “There was a huge unrest in the NEET PG aspirant community regarding the long gap between the exam and the possible start of counselling, which could only begin after the last date of (internship) completion, August 11, 2023”.
According to FORDA, “The declaration of NEET PG 2023 result on March 14, 2023 is the first of many steps taken in the right direction and is a applaudable effort". The health minister’s statement on why the NEET PG exam 2023 was not postponed was acknowledged by the resident doctors. According to them, “the consistent efforts of the health ministry to bring back the academic calendar on track by conducting NEET PG 2023 exam on March 5 is appreciable.” However, "a long wait till August is unjustifiable and it’s about time that the health ministry stand true to it’s intent," it added.
NBE had declared the NEET PG 2023 Result far before the scheduled date. NEET PG 2023 Counselling is scheduled to be held in the month of August. Resident doctors have requested to forward the counselling schedule by a month and conduct it in July.
