Delhi University’s affiliated Colleges have started releasing the DU third cutoff 2020 in online mode for admission to programs offered by the university. Check College-wise third cutoff list below.

With the first and second cutoff list released and popular courses being filled, Delhi University aspirants are eagerly waiting for the third cutoff list. Previous years’ records claim DU third cutoff list is supposed to be a sigh of relief for candidates scoring a little less than 95%.

However, this year, the third cutoff is expected to dip marginally from the second cutoff. Early, this year, the University announced of releasing five DU cutoff lists and one special DU cut off list 2020 for admissions to over 66,263 seats. Meanwhile, DU second cutoff list was released on October 17.

Against the second list, 9,700 students applied on the Day-1 of admissions. Students can apply for admission under the second cutoff list till October 21, and pay admission fee till October 23. The DU cut off list 2020 is being released for 64 Delhi University colleges.

DU Third Cutoff 2020: Hansraj College

Cut off for Hansraj College has bee above 90+ for all courses. The highest touched for the Third Cut off list is 97.75%. 

DU Third Cutoff 2020: Jesus and Mary College

Jesus and Mary College has released the Third Cut off list for UG Admission 2020. For most of the programs, the admission has been closed except for B.Voc and Hindi (Hons) program. Check the cut off mentioned in the table below:

DU Third Cutoff 2020: Sri Aurobindo College

Sri Aurobindo College has also released the Third Cut Off today. Most of the program like B.A in English, Political Science, Economice etc has closed their admission in the third round. 

DU Third Cutoff 2020: SGTB Khalsa College

Many courses for general category candidates have been closed in the SGTB Khalsa College third cutoff, except  B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics, B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science and B.Sc programmes Physical Science and Chemistry. The college has set the highest cutoff of 95.75% for B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics and  B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science. Candidates can check the official website to check the DU third cutoff 2020.

DU Third Cutoff 2020: Rajdhani College

The third cutoff list for Rajdhani College is released on the official website of the college. The cutoff set for B.A. (Hons.) Economics is 95%. The college is still offering seats under the DU third cut off, though the cutoff set for B.Sc (Hons.) Chemistry and B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics is still above 90%. 

DU Third Cutoff 2020: Zakir Husain Delhi College

Candidates expecting admission in Economics+ Political Science under Zakir Husain Delhi College still have a chance, the cutoff ranges from 95.5 to 95.9%. The cutoff set for B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) course is the same, i.e. 94-94.9%.

DU Colleges to Close Admission Early to Third Cutoff Release 

Kamala Nehru College is perhaps the first affiliated college of Delhi University to declare closing admissions for certain courses before the release of the third cutoff. the college has closed admission for unreserved category. 

Meanwhile, the fee payment process against the second cutoff which confirms admission to a college is still underway and will end on October 23. Prior to this, colleges’ decision to close admission is already surfacing. 

The principal of Kamala Nehru College says, "Apart from Sanskrit, we are likely to fill our seats in all courses in this round of admissions. In other years, there used to be several rounds of admissions for reserved categories but this year, we are already through with admissions for all reserved categories.

Of course, this may change after the third and fourth lists come out in other colleges and we might see withdrawals and movement between colleges at that time.” Khalsa College had closed applications after the release of the first cutoff list. 

Principal Jaswinder Singh said, “We had a 96.75% cut-off for unreserved seats in BCom (Honours) in the first list and received 120 admissions against our 60 seats. In the second list, we had around 20 withdrawals and we are still overcapacity.

We had four withdrawals in English which had also closed after the first list and one or two in a few other courses.”

Apart from this, cutoffs of certain courses dropped drastically as in the case of B.Com (Hons) for a prominent college like Lady Shri Ram College. For a total of 626 seats available for the course, the second cutoff dipped to 98.5% from 99.5% as in the first list.

Moreover, the first list had only 101 applications which rose to only 330 applications for the second cutoff. As a fact, many seats are vacant for the third list. For Economics, the cutoff remained stable at 99%, while approved admissions climbed to 135 from 83 (against the first cutoff). 

Until Wednesday, October 21, about 62,172 candidates applied among which only 7,546 admissions were approved as they paid fees out of 15,698 applications.

DU Admission 2020: Factors determining cutoff

DU Cutoff 2020 for admission to various programs offered by affiliated colleges are determined based on the following factors: 

• Number of Seats: Number of seats available for the program offered by Delhi University.
• Programme: DU Cutoff varies with the program, candidates have applied for admission.
• Best of Four Subjects: An aggregate of best 4 scores obtained by a student in Class 12 board exams.
• Number of Applicants: Total applications received for a program.

DU Admission 2020: How to Apply against Third Cutoff?

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for DU Admission 2020:

1. Check the third cutoff list to know one’s eligibility.
2. Log in to the admission portal of DU and select the required course and college to generate application form.
3. Report to the respective college for document verification, a payment acknowledgement slip will be generated for confirmation of admission.
