As per the latest updates, Delhi University has formed a seven-member committee to frame the syllabus for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which will be introduced in the academic session 2022 under National Education Policy 2020.

Earlier, Delhi University’s academic and executive council approved the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in various DU Courses 2022. The approval was granted during the meeting held on August 24, 2021. 

With the approval of the academic council, Delhi University is now preparing to frame the curriculum of the courses in accordance with NEP 2020 for the academic year 2022-2023.

The newly formed Delhi University NEP Committee 2021 includes the expert faculty members of the university from various departments and affiliated colleges. 

The committee includes Professor Vivek Suneja from the Faculty of Management Studies, Professor HP Singh from the Department of Physics, and Professor Shobha Bagai from the Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC).

Additionally, Dr. Anju Srivastava, Principal of Hindu College, Dr. Suman Sharma, Principal of Lady Shri Ram College, Dr. SP Aggarwal, Principal of Ramanujan College, and Dr. Asani Bhaduri, Assistant Professor of CIC will join the committee as member-secretary.

As per the official DU notice, “The committee shall frame the syllabi with respect to the following new interdisciplinary courses that are part of the structures of the undergraduate courses of study”.

"The courses were approved by the Academic Council during the meeting held on August 24, 2021, and the Executive Council in its meeting held on August 31, 2021, for implementation from the Academic year 2022-23, for consideration by the Academic Council of the University", the official notice further reads. 

Under National Education Policy 2020, the Delhi University will now offer courses in various domains, including ethics and culture, social and emotional learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, co-curricular, IT skills, data analysis, mathematics, and others.
