Soon after the conclusion of admission against the second cutoff list, over 82% seats of DU were already filled. Officials claimed, “While 35,500 seats were filled under the first cut-off list, 22,147 seats have been filled under the second cut-off list.”

DU third cutoff was declared on Saturday, October 24, with earlier presumptions of a minimal dip in cutoffs.

The university offers a total of 70,000 seats for admission to undergraduate courses offered by it. Despite this, several colleges affiliated to Delhi University had closed admission for different courses after the second cutoff.

Likewise, for Lady Shri Ram College, cutoffs for three courses BA (Honours) Psychology, BA (Honours) Economics and BA (Honours) Political Science consistently stood at 100%. However, there were a number of applicants with 99% scores for BA (Honours) Economics.

Apart from this, cutoffs for BA (Honours) Journalism, had been 99.5% in LSR, which slipped marginally to 99.25% in the second list. Later on, the cutoff for BA (Honours) Psychology and BA (Honours) Political Science reduced to 99.75% for both the courses.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delhi University chose to conduct the entire admission process in online mode. The first cutoff list was released on October 10, 2020, and 50% seats were filled soon after the completion of round-1.
