With the release of Delhi University, DU 2nd Cut-off List 2021, the admission process for commerce courses is now underway in top colleges. However, 50% of admission seats have already been filled during the admission process against the first cut-off list.

Delhi University has recently released the DU 2nd Cut-off List for merit-based undergraduate course admission on October 09, 2021. The cut-off list is now available on the official website of Delhi University at du.ac.in. 

With the release of the second cut-off by Delhi University, candidates who meet the cut-off criteria and wish to apply for admission can submit their applications for the same from October 10, 2021. The last date for application submission for all candidates is October 13, 2021. 

DU Affiliated colleges will complete the admission approval process for registered candidates by October 14, 2021. Selected candidates would be able to pay the application fee for admission by October 15, 2021. 

Those who do not meet the eligibility for the second cut-off release can wait for the release of the DU Admission 2021 third cut-off list. The DU 3rd cut-off list 2021 will be released on October 14, 2021, on the official website of Delhi University.

In accordance with the DU 2nd Cut-off List 2021 release, the colleges have recorded the highest cut-off for the commerce program. The cut-off for the 2021 session has stood up to 98 percent. Check the detailed cut-off for top DU colleges in the reference table below:

Colleges like Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Daulat Ram College (W), Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College have released a cut-off of 98 percent for their commerce honors program. 

While top colleges like Acharya Narendra Dev College and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College have recorded a cut-off of 96 percent. The lowest second cut-off for the B.Com program is released by Bhagini Nivedita College (W), 90 percent. 

DU 2nd Cut off List 2021: 50% Seats Filled for Popular Courses Through First Cut off

As per the cut-off list release, many college admission seats for commerce and other program admission have already been filled during the DU 1st Cut-off List 2021 release. Acharya Narendra Dev College, Aryabhatta College has closed their admission process for the B.Com program, while Bhagini Nivedita College (W) admission seats for B.Com Honours have already been filled during the first cut-off admission process. 

Additionally, popular courses like Psychology, Political Science, Computer Science, Economics, and others have received the highest number of applications against the DU First cut-off list 2021 release. More than 59000 candidates have applied for the admission process. 

Gyantosh Kumar Jha, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College said, “There is just a marginal decline in the second cut-off list for other courses. For instance, BA (H) Political Science was available at 98.50% in the first cut-off, now it is available at 98.25% in the second list".

Adding to the same, Prakash Kumar Patel, assistant professor, Department of Political Science, Dyal Singh College stated that the college has already closed the admission process for Political Science, history, Geography, Hindi, and others since there are no admission seats.

“Despite a 98% cut-off for the Political Science (H) program, the department is facing over admission. A total of 150 students have been admitted against sanctioned strength of 77" he further added.
