Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, has begun the B.E./B.Tech Admission Process.

First Merit list for Madhya Pradesh (MP) B.Tech Admission 2020 will be released on October 9, 2020. Candidates who find a place in the rank list will be allocated a seat as per choices filled by them. Read the article to know how to apply and check direct link. 

Earlier, the registration for DTE B.Tech Counseling Round 1 started on 22 September 2020. Such candidates can visit the official website to complete the online counselling and selection process.

The last date for students to complete the online registration process for B.Tech Counseling is October 3rd, 2020. The link for entering and closing the selections will be available from 24 September 2020 to 7 October 2020.

Entrance Exams Accepted by Madhya Pradesh Engineering Colleges 2020

A state-level entrance exam for B.E admission is not carried out by DTE Madhya Pradesh.

The JEE main score for B.E admissions is accepted by all engineering/B.E colleges in MP.

In order to secure admission, the applicants must have a valid JEE Main Score.

On the other hand, students with a Class 12 merit can also register for admission to Madhya Pradesh B.E.

For JEE Main Qualifiers and Qualifying Examination, DTE MP releases a separate merit list.

In order to increase the admission chances, it is advisable for MP B.E aspirants to appear for JEE Main.

The colleges will come up with MP B.E admissions opening and closing ranks, and applicants with a valid JEE Main rank can apply for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E Admission in Madhya Pradesh 2020

The eligibility criteria for B.E admissions in Madhya Pradesh is as follows –

Domicile Rule

  • Candidates seeking B.E admission in Madhya Pradesh must note that 90% of seats in B.E colleges throughout the state are reserved for students residing in Madhya Pradesh
  • On the other hand, for the Tuition Fee Waiver scheme, only MP resident students will be considered.

Entrance Exam

  • In order to be eligible for the admission process, Madhya Pradesh B.E applicants must have a valid JEE primary score (non-zero positive score)
  • Applicants without a JEE Main score can also apply for admission to MP B.E, and the candidates' Class 12 merit will be considered when preparing the merit list

Academic Qualification

  • With Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as the main subjects, B.E aspirants in Madhya Pradesh must have passed Class 12
  • For B.E applicants, the minimum qualifying marks required in Class 12 should be 45% for the General Category and 40 percent for the Reserved Categories

Madhya Pradesh Engineering (B.E) Admission and Selection Procedure 2020

Madhya Pradesh's B.E admission procedure includes various phases. Because admissions are entirely based on merit, preparation of the merit list or rank list, some of the steps involved in the admission process are the declaration of opening and closing ranks.

Madhya Pradesh's B.E admission process is divided broadly into two categories:

Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through JEE Main:

The main JEE score in Madhya Pradesh is the main criterion for B.E admission.

A separate merit list of the candidates who have applied for B.E admission with a valid JEE Main score will be released by DTE MP.

The name of the candidate, category, order of merit, JEE Main rank, will be the common merit/ rank list. For the seat allocation, candidates who appear on the common merit list will be considered.

Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through 10+2 Merit: 

Through 10 + 2 merit, candidates who do not have a valid JEE Main score can compete for B.E admission in Madhya Pradesh.

A separate merit list for 10 + 2 pass-outs will be released by DTE MP, and all students in the merit list will be considered for seat allocation subject to seat availability in particular college and course.

For the admission process, only candidates participating in the online counselling process conducted by DTE MP for B.E admissions will be considered.

Madhya Pradesh B.E Counselling Process 2020

The centralised/online counselling process for B.E admissions at government engineering colleges, private/unassisted engineering colleges and state universities is carried out by DTE Madhya Pradesh.

In order to secure admission to B.E, all students must participate in this counselling process. It is possible to check the various stages involved in the MP B.E counselling process below.

  • B.E aspirants of Madhya Pradesh must visit the official website of DTE Madhya Pradesh to register for MP B.E counselling process.
  • Click on the official link on the DTE website to register for counselling.
  • Please enter Date of Birth, JEE Main Roll Number, Aadhaar Number and Verification Code to complete the registration for counselling.

Login

  • After the successful registration, candidates will be directed to the Login page where the candidates must enter JEE Main Roll Number and Date of Birth to Login.
  • After login, the candidates must fill the online application form for B.E counselling,

Filling Online Application Form for B.E Counselling

  • The application form for B.E counselling will be displayed.
  • The candidates must enter all the personal details in the columns prescribed.

Uploading Documents

  • The candidates must upload the scanned copies of certificates or documents prescribed by DTE Madhya Pradesh for the online counselling process.
  • The scanned copies of documents should be in JPEG format.

Filling Academic Qualifications

  • After uploading documents, the applicants must fill academic qualification details in the application form such as Class 10 & 12 Final Exam Roll Number, Passing Year and Name of the School

Reviewing Application

  • After completing all the above steps, check the details in the application form carefully and make changes if any.

Submitting Application and Printout

  • Finally, confirm the details entered in the application form and click on ‘Submit’’
  • Take the printout of application form for future reference.

Online Option Entry or Choice Filling

  • On the scheduled date as specified by DTE MP, login to the official website to fill the option entry form.
  • It is advisable to fill a maximum number of colleges and courses from the list available.

Locking the Choices

  • If the candidates are sure about the choices or options filled in the Option/ Choice Entry Form, click on ‘Lock’ to confirm the entry.

Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Reservation Policy

DTE MP follows the reservation rules of state government for B.E admissions. The break-up of engineering seats in Madhya Pradesh is as follows –

The seats available in the Madhya Pradesh domicile category are divided into various categories, such as SC, ST, OBC, General, etc.

During the process of admission, equal representation is given to all categories. For external MP students and the NRI quota, the reservation rules do not apply

.Madhya Pradesh B.E Seat Allotment Process 2020

The Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, has declared the Madhya Pradesh BE seat allocation. By logging on to DTE Madhya Pradesh's official website and logging in with the help of their registered credentials, candidates can check their seat allocation results.

Based on JEE Main 2020 scores, the seat allotment letter will be released. The vacant seats that are available in the month of July can be checked by candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allocation results.

After up-gradation, the seat allotment is declared in online mode. The Madhya Pradesh B.E admissions seat allocation process includes various phases, and the same can be checked below: 

Release of Common Merit List: A Common Merit List of candidates eligible for B.E admission in the state will be put forward by DTE Madhya Pradesh.

The candidate's name, JEE Main Roll Number, Category, and Merit Number will be on the common merit list. On the basis of merit, these candidates will receive admission to the B.E course.

Publication of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter: DTE MP will publish the seat allocation letter on the official website within a few days of the release of the Common Merit List. If they are satisfied with the allotment, the candidates can download the seat allotment letter.

Upgradation of Seat:  Applicants seeking a seat upgrade may re-submit the option entry form on the official website. There will be two opportunities for students to upgrade their current allotment. As per the schedule, the seat allotment will be published.

Reporting to College: After the seat allotment, the candidates must download the seat allotment letter, and report to the respective engineering college with all the relevant documents.

Verification of Documents: The college authorities will verify the documents of candidates to confirm the admission.

Admission Confirmation: The admission of the candidates will be confirmed after the document verification, and the candidates are required to deposit the first-year B.E fee within the date specified by the college.
