The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Ministry of Education on a plea to stay the declaration of JEE Advanced 2020 result. 

Pawan Kumar Singh stated that his son was harassed and allowed inside the exam hall 45 minutes after the commencement time. Hence he filed a petition through RG Lawz Advocate and Consultants to stay the declaration of JEE Advanced 2020 Result.

The single judge of bench Justice Jayant Nath refused to stay the declaration of JEE Advance 2020 Result where thousands of students appeared.

Advocate Mukesh Mohan Goyal appeared for Singh and argued that the son of the petitioner was hounded for 45 minutes for not bringing a passport size photograph. He also stated that there is no such condition in the examination guideline. He sought to stay the declaration of result till the petition’s disposal.

He also mentioned that his son was sent out of the examination hall again for not bringing a transparent pen. Though in the guidelines it is mentioned that pens will be provided in the exam centre. Check: JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Day Guidelines

Singh claims that his son was an academically excellent student who scored AIR 30 rank in JEE Main

The petition stated that because of the physical and mental torture caused to the son of the petitioner, he had lost 30 to 40 marks which he could have got easily. The advocate requested to release the JEE Advanced 2020 result after conducting JEE Advanced afresh for the petition’s son.

The High Court issued notice to the Ministry of Education organizing chairman JEE Advanced and others to stay the declaration of JEE Advanced 2020 and listed the matter for October 7.
