New Delhi: CUET UG has given a golden opportunity for students to get into the premier universities of their choice through a single window. However, it is mandatory for students to score above 80% in order to get admission.
CUET will enable candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various central universities. Gone are the days when the gates of these colleges opened only for Board toppers based on sky-high cut-offs.
Students will have a wide range of options - 27 subjects, 33 languages and general tests to choose from. During admissions, they can choose to select the subject/language/general test of their choice, as per the requirements of the university.
If the candidate opts for the CUET exam in one language and three subjects then each section of language and three subjects will consist of 40 questions.
Suppose if the language questions are five marks each, then a total of 40 questions are 200 marks, and the subject section is 600 marks; thus, the exam is of total 800 marks. So, if one scores 640 marks from 800 in the CUET UG 2022 Exam, the percentile will be 80 per cent and the candidate will be eligible to take admission to the top universities.
According to experts, CUET UG 2022 will be beneficial for engineering aspirants as well as most universities will take CUET scores to admit students in engineering courses.
