New Delhi: UGC Chairman, M Jagadesh Kumar has informed that central and state universities may take three to four weeks to complete their admission process based on CUET UG 2022 score after the declaration of entrance exam results. 

When asked about the result date for CUET UG 2022 , he informed that NTA usually takes a week or so to release the result after the exam date. The NTA officials stated that the results for CUET UG 2022 exam are expected to be released around September 07, 2022. 

In his official statement, UGC Chairman said , “Once the results are announced, it may take 3 to 4 weeks to complete the admission process. Usually, universities bring out the first list, second list, or even third list to make sure seats are filled up".

Adding to the statement, the NTA official said “The number of subject papers is huge for CUET-UG. We will try to finish the evaluation and announce the results by September 7. We are considering September 10 as our deadline".

Earlier, the NTA has started the commencement of the fourth phase of the admission test as per CUET UG 2022 Schedule on August 17, 2022. However, the CUET UG 2022 Phase 4 exam was cancelled at several exam centers for some students due to various technical issues. 

Referring to the technical issues found at CUET UG 2022 exam centers , the UGC Chairman stated that those students who could not appear for the examination due to technical issues will be provided with another opportunity to appear for the exam. 

He said, “In some centers, there was a server problem. But all those students will get a retest. However, in the rest of the country, including remote areas, the morning session exam for phase 4 session has gone off well".

As per the data, the NTA has successfully conducted the phase 4 exam in over 455 centers in 245 cities. While at 13 exam centers, the CUET UG 2022 Phase 4 exam was cancelled due to technical issues. Due to this, 8,693 affected candidates will now appear for the exam again. 

Talking about the issues, the officials informed that NTA has taken several measures to ensure the smooth commencement of exams for all students, which includes additional technical manpower and more mock tests at exam centers.
