New Delhi: NTA has conducted the first day of the CUET UG 2022 today. The exam was held in two slots. Slot 1 was from 9 am to 12:15 pm and slot 2 from 3 pm to 6:45 pm. Candidates can check more details regarding the exam through the official portal, cuet.samarth.ac.in.

Those who were unable to take the CUET 2022 exam today owing to a last-minute centre change yesterday will be able to take it again in August. According to a senior NTA official, all concerned applicants have been notified via phone and email.

The CUET UG examinations will be held in two stages this year, with the first phase taking place on July 15, 16, 19, and 20, and the second phase taking place on August 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. The UGC Chief and NTA officials have stated that admit cards will be released just three to four days before the planned test date, citing security concerns.

UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar on Tuesday said, “This is a common practice in all the examinations that NTA conducts, whether it is JEE Mains or NEET. We usually issue admit cards four days before the examination”.

The CUET UG 2022 has been cancelled for July 15 for two centres, New Jalpaiguri and Pathankot. On the day of the examination, candidates should bring their admit card, one passport-sized picture, and one photo ID evidence.

CUET 2022 Day 1 Exam: Check Student's Reaction

Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam hall if they do not have their admit card. Candidates must follow all COVID-19 protocols at the test centre and arrive at the exam location by the reporting time specified on their admit card.

This year, 14,90,000 students applied for the CUET UG 2022 tests, of which 8,10,000 were assigned to Phase I and 6,80,000 to the Phase II exam.

Students who attended the first session of the exam said that many of the questions were not from the NCERT texts, hence they were unsure of their marks. Those who were assigned to Phase I are dissatisfied with their timetables.

The Phase I students stated that they felt they were being disadvantaged and that they were under pressure to complete a huge number of assignments in one day. Furthermore, students who have not been assigned their preferred exam centre face extra hurdles, despite the fact that the UGC Chairman has said that 98% of candidates have been assigned the exam centre of their choice.
