New Delhi: According to the latest notification released by NTA, CUET-UG for more than 11,000 candidates who were scheduled to appear in the fourth phases has been deferred to August 30 to accommodate their choice of city for the exam centre.

CUET 2022: Phase 4 Exams to be held on August 30

CUET 2022 was earlier supposed to be held from August 17-20. The agency also confirmed that all phases of the exam would be over by August 28, 2022. "The exam for over 11,000 out of 3.72 lakh candidates has been postponed to August 30 to accommodate their choice of city for the exam centre. NTA has increased the capacity at centres and also added more exam centres besides making efforts to ensure that the quality of the centres is enhanced," UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar said.

"It has also been decided to station additional technical manpower by deploying the facility of Associate Professor level as technical observer at every centre to ensure smooth conduct of examination," he added.

Over 2 lakh candidates will take up the CUET UG exam in phase 5 scheduled to be held on August 21, 22 and August 23. Similarly, 2.86 lakh candidates are scheduled to take up the phase 6 test on August 24 ,25, 26 and August 30, 2022.

The candidates who were originally scheduled to take the examination in Phase 3 have been informed through their Admit Cards that they will be taking the Examination (in Phase 5) on 21, 22, and 23 August 2022. Such candidates can download their admit cards mentioning the centres of examination on August 17, 2022.

“Those candidates who could not take the examination in Phase 2 conducted on 04, 05 and 06 August 2022 either due to technical reasons or due to cancellation of the Centre, will be allowed to appear in Phase 6 which will be held from 24 to 30 August 2022,” the NTA notice read.
