New Delhi: CUET UG 2022 Phase 4 Exam which is scheduled to be held on August 17, 2022, has now been cancelled in several examination centers across the country due to computer malfunction and technical issues found during the exam.

Referring to the exam cancellation, NTA informed that those registered candidates who were preparing to appear for CUET UG 2022 Exam and were not able to appear for the same due to technical issues will be provided with another opportunity to appear for the examination. 

Earlier, NTA started the commencement of the CUET UG 2022 phase 4 examination for over 3.6 lakh registered candidates. However, for over 11,000 candidates, NTA has rescheduled the CUET UG 2022 exam to August 30, 2022 to offer applicants with their choice of exam center. 

Regarding the changes in CUET UG 2022 Schedule, UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar said, "the exam for over 11,000 out of 3.72 lakh candidates has been postponed to August 30 to accommodate their choice of city for their choice of exam center".

"NTA has increased the capacity at centers and added more exam centers besides making efforts to ensure that the quality of the centers is enhanced," he added. 

As per the officials, in many CUET UG 2022 centers, students waited for hours to appear for the exam. Due to this, the concerned parents and guardians have complained to authorities regarding the mismanagement and lack of facilities at centers. 

Many students complained that this is the second time when they have faced issues while appearing for exams conducted by NTA, which include cancellation and rescheduling of tests due to technical reasons. 

Anil Maurya, a candidate who appeared for CUET UG 2022 said, “In the first week of August, I traveled a long distance to the exam center to learn that the exam was postponed. It was a total waste of money, time, and energy. And it happened again today".

Another candidate added that “Right from the scheduled beginning of the tests, there were problems and after a point, all the computers stopped working". Due to this, students had to return home without writing their papers. 

Complaining about the CUET UG 2022 Phase 4 commencement, a parent of a registered candidate added that students were only given 22 minutes to complete their examination and most of the computers weren't even working properly.
