New Delhi: Central University of Jammu has invited applications for an online course on skill development, titled as 'Skill Based Creative Tourism Development for Revitalizing the Identities of Local Communities' for the academic year 2022-23. 

The department of Tourism & Travel Management at Central University of Jammu, will conduct the online course from April 18 to 24, 2022. 

Candidates interested in seeking admission for the online course can register by visiting the official university we website. The university will intake a total of 50 candidates for the course.

Central University of Jammu Skill Development Course 2022: Course Objectives 

Some of the key objectives of the skill development course are as follows, 

• To create awareness about the applied knowledge of creative tourism for benefitting the identities of local communities through sustainable enhancement of natural and cultural resources.
• To disseminate knowledge about the competencies required to promote participants' critical understanding of new tourists' expectation based on experiential learning while on tourism.
• To provide a framework for skill enhancement and capacity building of Human Resource in tourism and allied sectors.

The online skill development course will be held for a duration of a week, from April 18 to 24, 2022.

Each day, the participants of the course will get to understand the basic concepts of culture and the features of the course. 

Participants will also get a chance to enhance their skills in Place branding and Cultural Milieu, Storytelling and they will have to work on evidence based case studies, best practices, discussions on local, national and international cases. 

Finally, on the seventh day, that is on April 24, the participants will have to sit for an examination. 

Central University of Jammu Skill Development Course 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

• The skill development course has been specifically designed for professionals, non-professionals, skilled and semi-skilled human resources in the field of tourism. 

• Students pursuing PhD or those who are likely to join academics in tourism management. 

• Faculty members,Administrators and Research Associates from academic/technical institutions, corporate/ profit / non‐profit organizations, government agencies concerned with the development of tourism in the state are also eligible to apply for the course.

Central University of Jammu Skill Development Course 2022: How to Apply?

Candidates interested in pursuing the course can go through the steps to register online. 

Step 1: Visit the website and create login and password at the direct link provided below 

Step 2: Login and complete the registration form and select courses.

Step 3: Enter necessary details in the application form and complete the payment process. 

Step 4: Pay INR 500 (non-refundable) through an online payment gateway.

Step 5: Save the application form and take a printout of the same for further reference. 

Candidates must note that the registration process for Global Initiative of Academic Networks, GIAN courses is not automatic because of the constraints on the maximum number of participants allowed to register for a course.

In order to register for one or multiple non-overlapping courses, candidates will have to apply online using the

The course coordinator of the selected course will go through the applicant's application and confirm their selection as a participant one month before the commencement date of the courses. 

Once the applicant is selected, they will be informed and requested to pay the full fees through online payment gateway service.

Central University of Jammu Skill Development Course 2022: Application Fee
