Additionally, AIMA has released the COVID-19 advisory for Paper-Based MAT 2020. To ensure the safety of candidates who will be taking the test at the exam centres, detailed exam day instructions and COVID-19 Safety Guidelines have released.

MAT PBT exam would be conducted in 40 cities across India. AIMA has clarified that the exam would be conducted as per the COVID-19 Guidelines provided by the Government of India. In case the exam gets cancelled, the registration would be valid for December 2020 MAT exam.

There is no change in the MAT Exam Pattern or the test structure, however, sticking to the COVID-19 guidelines would be necessary for the students.

MAT 2020 PBT Exam Day Instructions and COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

  • Staggered time slots would be provided to batches of students ensuring physical distancing at the exam centre entrance. 
  • A self-declaration form confirming that the students do not have any COVID-19 symptom and has not been in contact with any positive COVID-19 patient is required.
  • Entry to the MAT Exam Center would only be allowed with the self-declaration form.
  • Thermo guns would be used to check the body temperatures. In case of temperatures higher than the normal recommended temperature, the candidate would be denied entry into the test centre. 
  • In case a candidate is sick or has any symptoms of sickness such as fever, cough, cold, or headache, they must not go to the test center.

Documents Required at MAT Exam Center

  • Self-declaration form (in the format provided to candidates in MAT Admit Card).
  • Paper-Based MAT 2020 Admit Card and any valid original ID card (voter ID, PAN card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Photo ID issued by the government or any recognized educational institution, etc.)
NOTE: For PwD candidates, a copy of disability certificate issued by a competent authority is also required.

Items allowed at MAT 2020 Exam Center

  • A face mask that covers the nose and face properly
  • Personal hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle
  • Blue/ Black Ball Point Pen
  • Transparent water bottles

Instructions to be followed at MAT Exam Center 

  • Wear mask covering nose and mouth properly before entering the MAT Exam Hall until exit.
  • Periodically sanitize hands with sanitizers during the test, before entry and also after exiting the exam centre.
  • Maintain social distancing at all costs. This is to ensure the safety of not only the candidates but others as well.
  • Do not allow any physical touch during frisking. Staff involved in conducting MAT 2020 have clear instructions to have no contact during frisking.
