COMEDK Examination 2020 was held today. The response of the candidates after the examination of shift one was mixed. While some candidates said that standard operating procedures were followed properly at the centre, some candidates lashed out at the authorities for not taking proper measures.

On social media, some students said that the failure to adhere to SOPs in many centres during COMEDK Examination 2020 spells disaster for JEE Main and NEET 2020.

Some students said that wearing masks inside a closed examination hall with only a ceiling fan above led to a suffocating feeling. Candidates have shared their situation by means of videos and images on social media using hashtags #SCposponeJEE_NEET, #PostponeJEEAndNEET, #StudentsLivesMatters, and so on.

Students had been demanding that COMEDK Examination 2020 be postponed even after the release of the admit card, to which extent a plea was filed with the Karnataka High Court. However, the court rejected the plea. The examination has been postponed many times due to lockdowns.

COMEDK UGET is given by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka for admission to B.Tech courses in the participating institutes. Today, the examination was given across 342 examination centres through CBT mode. Every year, around 70,000 candidates take the examination.

COMEDK will also organize a single-window counselling process for UGET-qualified candidates. B.Arch admission counselling will be held based on NATA/ JEE Main paper scores.
