New Delhi: The Consortium of National Law Universities has revealed that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 will be conducted in December 2023. The registration process for the same will shortly begin on the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 

According to the formal announcement made by the Consortium of National Law Universities, the CLAT 2024 will be held for admission to the five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons), and LLM programmes which will begin in the academic year 2024–2025. The CLAT entrance test will be administered at the 22 participating National Law Universities (NLUs)

The CLAT 2023 registration process is currently being carried out by the CNLU and is scheduled to begin on December 18, 2022. Interested candidates can submit the application for the CLAT 2023 exam until November 13. There will only be one entrance exam conducted for the entire academic year.

The CNLU notification stated that there'd be no additional, second, or any other CLAT examination conducted for admissions in programmes commencing in the academic year 2023-2024. 

Further, the CNLU announcement clarified that the law students who were unsuccessful in getting into their first-choice college following CLAT 2022 can now reapply for CLAT 2023.

Candidates who failed to obtain admission to their selected institution through CLAT 2022, which was held in June 2022, are entitled to reappear for CLAT 2023 after completing a new registration, the official CNLU announcement read. 

The Consortium has planned to analyse the sample papers for the CLAT 2023 entrance examination, tomorrow, on November 5, 2022. 

In order to register for the sample paper analysis session, the candidates can log in to their CLAT account, and click on the Register button on the top block.

CLAT 2024: How to Register? 

In order to complete СLАT 2024 Registrаtiоn, which will begin shortly, the candidates can go through the following steps.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLU’s.

Step 2: Register yourself by entering your email address and phone number. 

Step 3: Log in to the site using the phone number and password.

Step 4: Enter preferences among the 22 national law universities.

Step 5: Pay the required amount of application fees and upload important documents and submit them. 

Step 6: Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
