JEE Main 2020 morning shift for Day 2 has been concluded. The second shift will begin at 3:00 PM. JEE Main Paper 1 is conducted for B.Tech and B.E. programs of 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 CFTIs.

According to students’ JEE Main 2020 Paper Analysis for B.Tech/ B.E. the Physics paper was tough while the Chemistry and Mathematics parts were comparatively easy. All COVID-19 precautions were followed however, at a few JEE Main Exam Centers, social distancing failed. 

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 is to be conducted at 660 JEE Main 2020 Exam Centers across India and 8 centers abroad. According to the JEE Main 2020 registration statistics, around 746,115 had registered for the B.Tech/ B.E. Paper 1 exam of which 85,000 are supposed to appear today.

According to the students, the Physics section was tough with a lot of numerical questions while the Chemistry and Mathematics section were normal. 

Numericals in Chemistry were normal and simple in Mathematics while numerical in Physics were difficult. 

The postponement of exams had provided enough time for the students to prepare well. Also, students said that COVID-19 guidelines were followed and the exam was conducted smoothly. 

Things to carry at JEE Main 2020 Exam Center

Candidates are advised to carry all the required items to their JEE Main 2020 Exam Center. However, any unnecessary items must be avoided. 

Students are required to carry the following items at the exam center:

  • JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
  • Duly filled self-declaration (released with admit card)
  • Photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID
  • Additional photograph for the attendance sheet
  • Transparent ballpoint pen
  • Mask and hand sanitizer
  • Transparent water bottle

All candidates have been advised to strictly adhere to the NTA’s JEE Main COVID-19 guidelines and exam day instructions. This is to ensure that JEE Main 2020 exams go on smoothly. 

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 Time Schedule

The exam would be held in two sessions- Session 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Session 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Students can check the time schedule for the two shifts below:
