New Delhi: Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar has begun the application process for the UG, PG, and diploma courses for the academic year 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official portal @admission.cit.ac.in.

CIT, Kokrajhar offers diploma, B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, M.Des, and PhD courses in various specialisations. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till June 15, 2022. 

The institute will release the results of entrance examination and the selected list of the eligible candidates for admission on July 19, 2022 at 5:00 pm for CITDEE-2022 (Diploma), CITBTEE-2022 (B. Tech.), CITBLET-2022 (Degree Lateral) and CITBDAT-2022 (B. Des).

Candidates seeking admissions into the UG, PG, and diploma courses are required to meet the requisite eligibility criteria which are mentioned below. 

CIT UG & PG Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma 

• Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent with 40% of marks in aggregate and 40% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or Advanced Mathematics) and English taken together (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates). 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech 

• Candidates must have passed class 10+2 (Science) with 50% of marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates). 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Des

• Candidates must have passed class 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates). 

Eligibility Criteria for M.Des 

• Candidates must hold a degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 55% of marks. 
• Candidates who have completed three year degree programme (10+2+3 pattern) in any specialization from a recognized college or university with a minimum experience of one (1) year of professional programme / work experience in the relevant specializations. 

Eligibility Criteria for PhD

• Candidates must hold a master's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10 or 60% for Engineering or Grade B or 55% of marks in UGC 7 point scale for others. Or B. Tech degree in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 8.5/10 or 80% marks in aggregate. 

CIT UG & PG Admission 2022: Selection Process

• Candidate's selection for admission shall be based on their performance in the respective Entrance Examinations. However, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of essential educational qualification and age limit. 
• The selection will be based on merit separately for all regions and reservation categories. Candidates who fail to furnish the proofs for their claims in respect of reservation of seat pertaining to region and category shall not be considered. 
• Candidate's selection to the M. Tech programme shall be through either the GATE score or the performance of candidates in CITMEE-2022. 
• Candidate's selection to the M. Tech programmes shall be through either the CEED score or the performance of candidates in CITMDAT-2022. 
• Candidate's selection into Ph. D programme are made through a Written Test and Personal Interview conducted by CIT Kokrajhar. 

CIT UG & PG Admission 2022: Exams 

The institute has scheduled to conduct the CITMTEE/CITMADT-2022 exams on June 26, 2022, from 9:00AM-12:00 noon. 

• CITMTEE will be of duration 3 hours consisting of 100 questions each carrying one (1) mark. 
• CITMDAT-2022 will be for 3 hours with part-A having 40 MCQ type questions carrying 1 mark each and part-B having drawing and analytical type descriptive questions carrying a total of 60 marks. 
• Total marks including Part-A and Part-B is 100. 

CIT UG & PG Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Candidates can apply for CITBTEE, CITDEE, CITBDAT, CITLET 2022 in online mode by following the steps given below.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of CIT Kokrajhar, @admission.cit.ac.in. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 1200 and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
