CBSE Board released a notification, warning the students and parents against the circulation of 'fake news' regarding the upcoming CBSE Class X and Class XII Board Examinations.

CBSE also advised the public and media to not believe any rumors regarding updates on CBSE and to check the official website and social media handles.

The board recently noticed fake news regarding CBSE board exams, evaluation, pass criteria through various social media groups.

The notification issued by CBSE reads, “It has come to the notice of CBSE that some unscrupulous persons impersonating themselves as officers/officials of CBSE are contacting the general public claiming to have access to student marks data and asking for money in lieu of increasing marks.”

The board has also mentioned that it would not take responsibility for any such fraudulent transactions and/or consequences arising out of it.

Moreover, the Board has asked the public to be more cautious and also to sensitize other public around them regarding this.

As per the revised date sheets, CBSE would be conducting exams from July 1 to July 15, 2020, for students of Class X and Class XII, in 15000 centers across the country.

Earlier the Board has decided to conduct the examination in only 3000 centers. The decision has been taken to ensure social distancing at exam centers and minimize travel for students.
