The Central Board of Secondary Education had released the  Class X  and Class XII Results 2020 on July 13 and July 15, 2020 respectively. The documents have been issued to the students by the CBSE Board through their schools or through the DigiLocker Accounts. 

After issuance, the CBSE has been receiving complaints related to documents. Few students are complaining that their documents have a misspelled name or wrong date of birth.

In case of discrepancy, students can rectify the particulars by following the guidelines mentioned on the website as per the board. 

On changing names in the documents, the board stated, “applications regarding the changes in name or surname of candidates may be considered, provided the changes have been admitted by the Court of law and notified in the Government Gazette before the publication of the result of the candidate.”

Few students have also complained that their parent’s names have been swapped in the documents.

On this, the board stated, “application for correction in name of Candidate/Father’s/Mother’s/Guardian’s Name will be considered only within one year of the date of declaration of result and the documents should be forwarded by the head of the school/institution.

Candidates must note that requests for changing the date of birth should be made within one year of the declaration of the result and the documents should be forwarded by the head of the school.
