The CBSE class 10 results announced on July 15, 2020 didn't turn out congenial for Mumbai 90 above scorers. Out of 18.7 lakh students who appeared for CBSE class 10 board, 1.8 lakh scored 90%, which is a dip of about 18.1% from last year.

CBSE has not released a merit list this year, however, some claim that science brought down the scores. 

CBSE class 10 top scorer from Mumbai, Shaachi Khanna who studied in Delhi Public School, Nerul has secured 99.6%. Following her, Soumya Mishra from RN Podar School, Santacruz bagged a second-best score of 99.2%

Maharashtra's pass percentage at 98.2% is higher than the country's overall success rate of 91.5%

This year, as well girls outperformed as compared to boys. In India, girls overall success rate recorded at 93.3%, whereas boys' pass percentage is 90.1%. Transgenders pass percentage is 79%. 

Among 16 regions of Maharashtra, Pune is ranked fourth in the success rate with 98.1%. The top position was attained by Thiruvananthapuram with 99.3% pass percentage in CBSE class 10 results.

The city recorded good results in both ICSE and CBSE class 10, all eyes are now on the state board scores which is expected to be released by the end of this month.
