New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board conducted the CBSE Class 10th term 2 Exam for Hindi course-B (085) today, on May 18.

According to the subject experts, the difficulty level of the CBSE Class 10th Hindi Exam was of moderate level and consisted of some long answer questions that were tricky as well as lengthy.

A few of the questions in the literature section were thought provoking, analytical and required an in-depth understanding of the lesson content and the subjects, claimed the Hindi teachers.

One of the subject experts said that the Hindi Course-B question paper was designed in a way which provoked reasoning and thoughtfulness. It was a bit tricky as it tested the analytical skills of students.

Whereas the writing section or section C, included short story writing, letter writing, two questions each on notice and advertisement along with a question on paragraph writing, which was slightly detailed and lengthy in nature, the teacher said.

Another expert said that the difficulty level of the question paper was easy to moderate, with most of the questions being based on understanding and application. Although a few long answered questions in the Literature Section were analytical, the short answer questions were direct and straightforward.

Moreover, most of the writing section questions were application-based, and the question’s pattern resembled the CBSE Sample Paper. Overall, the Hindi paper was a balanced, student-friendly, and scoring paper, the expert added.

Another TGT-Hindi tutor said that the Hindi paper was competency-based which assessed the student's higher-order thinking skills. The questions in the writing section were crafted based on current affairs and anyone well-versed with current affairs could have easily attempted the paper.

Some of the questions in the paper were based on creative writing, today’s life situations, problems and challenges which can be solved with imagination, situations and the creative spirit of the students themselves, claimed another subject expert.

Lately, the CBSE has been setting its question papers that require deep thinking and thorough knowledge of the subject. Even the CBSE Class 10th social science exam conducted on May 14, had a few questions which evaluated the student's critical thinking, confusing them for a while.

As per the subject experts, some of the questions in the paper were challenging, especially in history and economics and were tricky, whereas the case-based and map-based questions were extremely effortless.

The CBSE 10th Hindi term 2 paper was conducted for a duration of 2 hours with questions of 40 marks. The paper had two sections, literature and writing.
