CBSE Board Exam 2021: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the marking scheme and sample papers of Science exams for students about to appear in the board exams in 2021.
Sample papers are integral to preparation for Board exams. Similarly, the board has also released paper-marking scheme. Hence, students of CBSE Class 10 will be able to prepare well as they will be versed with marks allotted for each type of question. The sample papers will help ideate the level and type of questions to appear in the exam.
CBSE 10th Exam 2021: Question Pattern and Marking Scheme
As per the marking scheme released, the question paper will have a total of 36 questions, allotted to four sections: A, B, C and D. All the questions have to be compulsorily attended and there will be no internal choices to be made.
Section A will have 20 questions in MCQ, very short answer, reasoning and assertion questions format. All the questions will carry 1 mark each, hence students have to answer in one word.

Section B will have 6 questions in short answer type format. Each question will carry 2 marks and students have to answer in 30-50 words each. Section C will have 7 questions which are of short answer type. Each question carries 3 marks and needs to be answered in 50-80 words.
Finally, Section D will have 3 long answers type questions of 5 marks each. Answers need to be in the range of 80-120 words and should include neatly labelled diagrams wherever possible. Also, students have to attend any of the alternatives for questions which have internal choices
