A group of parents has approached the Supreme Court against the Central Board of education (CBSE) decision to conduct the pending Class 10th and Class 12th exams from July 01, 2020 and urged the court to ask the Board to mark students on the idea of internal assessment insight of coronavirus pandemic.

Alleging that students are going to be exposed to the pandemic if they seem for the examination to be conducted at 15,000 exam centres, a group of parents pleaded to the court to intervene and stay the choice.

The petition, filed by advocate Rishi Malhotra, contended that a lot of reputed educational institutions and Universities including IITs and Delhi University has decided to not conduct examination keeping in mind the security of the scholars and CBSE should even be directed to not conduct the examination for the remaining subjects.

He also stated that some state Boards including Chhattisgarh have also decided against holding any examination to guard students from being exposed to the deadly virus.

"CBSE's notification for holding of the remaining examination is discriminatory and arbitrary which too within the month of July wherein as per the AIIMS data, the said COVID-19 pandemic would be at its peak.

As done by CBSE in its other 250 schools abroad and various State Boards, the examination scheduled to be conducted in July 2020, should be cancelled and therefore the marks might be allotted on the idea of internal assessment," the petition said.

"CBSE cancelled the examinations of Classes 10th and 12th for its 250 odd schools which are situated abroad and have adopted criteria in awarding marks on the idea of either practical exams conducted or internal assessment marks.

It's highly regretful that the respondents herein haven't any genuine concern about putting the lives at the peril of all the scholars pan India and haven't any explanation whatsoever in insisting upon holding the said examination in India," it said.

The Board are going to be conducting the remaining CBSE 10th exam for a neighbourhood of scholars in North-East Delhi in July alongside CBSE 12th Exams 2020 from July 01, 2020 to July 15, 2020.

On May 18, 2020 CBSE had released the revised Class 10 date sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2020.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, CBSE had postponed the Classes 10 and 12 exams within the country. this is often the primary time, that the Board are going to be announcing the category 10 Results and sophistication 12 Result by mid-August.
Meanwhile, the Union Human Resource Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that the Board is predicted to declare CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 by August 15, 2020. These include the results of previous exams and therefore the results of examinations in July.
