Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Education Minister has announced on December 31, 2020, that the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board examination 2021 will be conducted in May-June, 2021. 

The Education Minister has confirmed that the CBSE 2021 examination is delayed because of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. The exam is announced to be conducted from May 4 to June 10, 2021, but the schedule for the examination is not yet announced by the examination officials. 

The schedule of the CBSE 2021 Board Examination for Classes 10 and 12 will be announced soon, stated the Education Minister. The Government’s fact check branch PIB has also tweeted the same in their official Twitter handle. 

The officials have also shared the schedule for the CBSE 2021 examination drafted on the same dates as mentioned by the Education Minister in their Twitter handle. But the time table circulating across social media platforms is found to be fake.

PIB Fact Check tweeted, “A date sheet for Class 12th & 10th Exams 2020-21 allegedly issued by the #CBSE is in circulation on social media. #PIBFactCheck; This date sheet is #Fake. Although, RP Nishank has announced that Class 10th & 12th Board Examinations will be held from 4th May to 10th June 2021.”

The announcement of the time table has brought relief to the students since they can start the subject wise preparation for the CBSE 2021 examination. But students have to wait a little longer for the announcement of schedule because the previously circulated date sheet is announced to be fake. 

For the benefit of students, the CBSE Board has decided to conduct the examination on a curtailed syllabus. Previously, CBSE has cut down 30% of the syllabus for both classes 10 and 12. 

The board has announced that the examination will consist more of application based questions to prevent the students from mugging up and internal choices will also be provided to students.
