CAT 2020 result is most likely to be declared in the second week of January 2021. Although IIM Indore has not released any official notification regarding result declaration, it is expected that the CAT scorecards will be announced by January 9, 2021.
IIM Indore conducted CAT 2020 exam on November 29, 2020, in three shifts. Out of 2.30 lakh candidates, over 1.90 lakh students appeared in the CAT exam.
Following the conduct of the entrance exam, CAT 2020 Answer key was declared on December 8, 2020. Candidates who appeared for the exam could check the CAT answer key with the response sheet and question paper on or before December 11, 2020.
CAT 2020 scorecard will include candidate’s details, CAT registration ID, sectional scores, overall scores, sectional percentiles as well as an overall percentile.
This year, IIM Indore was the conducting authority to hold the national level entrance exam. The institute ensured that the CAT exam is held on time and follows all safety measures during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

CAT 2020: How to download Result?
Candidates should follow the simple steps mentioned below to download CAT 2020 scorecard;
- Visit the CAT 2020 official website.
- On the homepage, navigate and click on CAT 2020 scorecard tab.
- Enter CAT login ID and password.
- The result will appear on the screen.
- Download and save a copy of CAT 2020 scorecard for future references.
What after the CAT 2020 Result?
Once the CAT 2020 result is out, IIMs will commence the process of shortlisting candidates for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The qualified students need to fill an online form to show interest in WAT-PI participation.
Students must note that the window to submit the online shortlist form will be available for a limited period of time. They have to fill the forms of preferred IIM separately on their respective websites.

How to fill IIM shortlist form?
Step 1: Visit the IIM institute website.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the tab indicating CAT 2020 shortlisting.
Step 3: Enter the CAT login ID and password.
Step 4: Enter details such as name, CAT registration ID, scores and percentiles.
Step 5: Click on submit to complete the process.
After the shortlisting process is completed, the IIMs will prepare a list of shortlisted candidates and send out call letters through email for attending WAT-PI round, to be conducted between February and April. It is mandatory to attend the WAT-PI Round.
