CAT 2020 conducted on November 29 in three slots (Forenoon, Afternoon, Evening) witnessed a total of 1.90 lakh applicants appearing for the exam amid the Pandemic.

The conducting and organizing body of CAT 2020, IIM Indore released a report which displayed that a total of 227835 candidates registered for the examination out of which 190143 appeared for it in 3 slots.

Further, the report revealed that minimum attendance was registered in the first shift (8:30 AM to 10:30 AM). While the attendance in the second and third shift was nearly equal. The total attendance recorded by CAT 2020 was around 83.5 per cent.

CAT 2020: Gender Wise Break Up for Registered Candidates

CAT 2020 convener, Prof. Harshal Lowalekar released the gender-wise breakup of the total number of candidates who had registered for CAT 2020 exam.

CAT 2020: Slot wise Attendance

The report released by the CAT 2020 conducting body IIM Indore informed displayed that about 12,000 candidates remained absent in every exam slot and the average number of students who appeared for CAT 2020 ranged between 59,000 to 65,000.

What After CAT 2020 Exam?

The conducting body of CAT 2020 is likely to release the CAT 2020 answer key along with the candidate’s response key soon. As per sources, CAT 2020 answer key will be released by this week of December 2020. 

Following the release of answer key, CAT 2020 results will be declared in the second week of January 2021 after which IIM shortlisting process will begin for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
