Indore: Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 which is being conducted by IIM Indore this year, will be held on November 29, 2020 (Sunday) across 159 cities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, about 2.28 lakh candidates across India applied for CAT 2020 for admission to MBA programs at IIMs. The exam will be held in three shifts, 8:30-10:30 AM, 12:30-2:30 PM and 4:30-6:30 PM.
IIM Indore has collaborated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to conduct the examination maintaining all safety protocols for COVID-19.
As claimed by a press release of IIM Indore, the duo has adopted measures issued by Government of India with regards to social distancing, preventive and protective measures at exam centres.

Most significantly, IIM Indore has worked towards allotting exam centres to candidates in a way that reduces their overall travels. The total number of exam centres have been increased to 430 considering this aspect.
CAT Convener, Professor Harshal Lowalekar, also approached the DGPs and Chief Secretariats of many states and Union Territories. He requested states and UTs to make travels possible for candidates with their CAT 2020 admit card amidst the curfew and lockdown called for the pandemic.
The Convener has also requested them to allow smoother conduct of exams in these trying times. Meanwhile, the local authorities have also been requested to maintain order and ensure furnishing necessary facilities and securities for the November 29 exam.
