New Delhi: Calcutta University is inviting applications for admission to its PhD programme offered by the department of statistics for the academic session 2022-23. Interested candidates can apply online till January 16, 2023.

Calcutta University offers a gamut of PhD programs under various specializations. For admission to PhD programs offered by the department of statistics, candidates are advised to visit their official web portal at caluniv.ac.in.

To apply for Calcutta University Admission 2023, disciplines, the applicant must have a master's Degree in Statistics and allied subjects with a 55% score, a 5% relaxation is also offered to the SC/ ST candidates. 

Candidates will be selected based on marks scored in the Research Eligibility Test (RET) 2022 and personal interviews. Candidates are required to score a minimum of 50% in the entrance exam to qualify.

Step 2: From the homepage, click on “ Admission/ Examination Notice” and click on “Admission to PhD programme in Statistics: 2022.”

Step 3: Download and fill in the application form with the correct details and required documents and pay the application fee.

Step 4:  Submit the application form to the Head, Department of Statistics, University of Calcutta, or email it to: hodstatistics@gmail.com to complete the Calcutta University PhD (Statistics) Admission 2023 process. 

Candidates with UGC/CSIR (JRF)/ NET/ SET(Mathematics)/ GATE/ hold DST INSPIRE Fellowship/ Teachers’ Fellowship/ M.Phil. degree in Statistics/ M. Tech. (QR&OR) degree of ISI prior to the application deadline will be exempted from the examination and can directly appear in the interview.
