Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) has released the results for the end-semester examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Earlier, Biju Patnaik University of Technology was successfully able to conduct nd-semester examinations of UG and PG courses, despite facing challenges laid by the pandemic.
The varsity conducted its online examinations between July 9 and August 20 for final semester students of B.Tech, BArch, BPlan, BPharm, MSc Integrated and MBA courses, and has been releasing result in a phased manner.
BPUT End- Semester Results Highlights
The varsity released results of B.Tech and M.Sc (Integrated) on August 13 and later results of the other courses.
Having announced the result of the last two subjects BPharm and MBA, the varsity is now done with the whole process of conducting and releasing the results of all final year UG and PG courses
According to some sources, among the students who had appeared for final semester exams, the number of B.Tech students were the highest.
As many as 12,123 students out of total 20,268 had appeared the BTech final semester examination on August 8 and 9. While a total of 11,553 B.Tech students passed the online examination.
However, 40% of the B.Tech final year students could not appear for the online examination.
Following which, they will be writing offline examination after the opening of the institution.
Meanwhile, as a whole, as many as 15,825 out of 25,452 students from different courses have appeared for the end-semester examinations. While the remaining 38% of students did not opt for writing the examination.
On the conduct of the examination, Deepak Kumar Sahoo, director of examinations, BPUT, said that conducting these examinations were a challenge for the varsity as it was the first time for the students.
“Despite the challenge, the university was able to hold examinations in which students from 17 states appeared,” he added.
