Bombay High Court (BHC) has directed the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) to imply its stand against the objections raised by the students for Masters in Human Resource Development (HRD) program Admission 2020.
Over 180 students were not shortlisted for the JBIMS Admission 2020. Students filed their objections stating that due to some technical issues, they failed to appear in the entrance test held on July 27, 2020.
Despite the objections raised by the students, the university declared the merit list for JBIMS Admission 2020.

Bombay High Court made an appeal to revoke the declared list of shortlisted candidates for admissions to the JBIMS MMM program in HRD and organize the entrance test again. The Court has posted the further hearing to November 26, 2020.
The High Court of Bombay also cross-questioned about 190 grievances issued against the institute in a day regarding the examination and admission process.
As per students’ allegations, On August 04, 2020, JBIMS notified that those candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance examination are qualified for the statement of purpose and personal interview round. However, JBIMS refused all accusations.

On November 05, 2020, a division bench of Justice K K Tated and Justice G S Kulkarni heard a petition made by 12 students against JBIMS. The students have filed the complaint through advocates Harpreet Singh Hora and Amritpal Singh Khalsa.
The petition stated, “JBIMS conducted the first round of its Admission 2020 procedure in the form of an online test and more than 600 students appeared for the entrance test. However, due to technical issues, about 190 students could not appear and, therefore, raised grievances with the institute on the same day.”
The Bombay High Court requested the institute to seek clarification through an additional affidavit. The Court also demanded the appointment of a committee to overlook the procedure of the entrance exam to be conducted again.
