New Delhi: Asian Law College (ALC), Moot Court Committee has announced that it will organise the 4th National Moot Court Competition 2023 in a collaboration with Vidhisastras (Advocates & Solicitors), New Delhi from February 25, 2023.
As per Asian Law College, the competition will be held for a duration of three days, from February 25 to February 27, 2023, in honour and memory of Hon’ble Late Shri Soli Jehangir Sorabjee, an Indian Jurist and Former Attorney-General for India.
Informing about the event, the official website reads, "The competition aims to provide participants an opportunity to showcase their drafting, researching and mooting skills before the finest members of legal professionals who will judge the various rounds of this competition".
For this year, the theme for ALC 4th National Moot Court Competition 2023 will be "competition is Constitutional Law". Participants will have an opportunity to win an overall cash prize of up to INR 2.25 lakhs.
The competition will train the participants how to face real-life courtroom scenarios and offer them practical knowledge to enhance their mooting skills. They will further learn how to be clear while presenting a case and understand the techniques of the courtroom.
The official website reads, “by presenting respective arguments before the finest members of the legal profession, the students come across genuine feedback on how to handle the given situation in a courtroom”.
“The practical experience gained through participating in the competition will bring out the best in the students and help in transforming and developing the students in a holistic manner for their embarking journey as a legal professional at national and international forums”, it reads.
