Andhra Pradesh government has announced of opening 30 skill-development colleges in the state. As per government reports, there will be at least one college in each parliamentary constituency. 

The decision in its eternity has been reviewed by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. After inauguration by Chief Minister, these colleges will start functioning from October 2 onwards.

The state government has asked the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) officials to look into the matter and strategize mechanisms to develop skills of youth. As a fact, APSSDC will review the entire curriculum. 

The move has been initiated to leverage key human resources for industries in the state. Earlier, in July, the government had decided on primarily focus on developing skills and offering job-oriented courses. 

The officials have been reported of following-up with the entire curriculum of Centurion University, Bhubaneswar that offers skill-development courses approved by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

These 30 colleges will offer courses at par with standards of Centurion University. In July, Industries and Information Technology Minister, Mekapati Goutham Reddy, claimed the state government will open colleges using funds contributed by CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) based companies.

Meanwhile, the AP government is also making arrangements for introducing Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten (UKG) as Pre-Primary PP1 and PP2. These schools will be set up along with Anganwadis already in place.
