AIIMS Nursing 2020 was successfully conducted on June 11th at all the listed 150 centres across the country.
The National Level Entrance Exam was the first exam to be held after the coronavirus lockdown. However the candidates were against the decision, but the exam authorities were quiet certain about their management to conduct AIIMS Nursing 2020 Exam.
The exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on June 5, which somehow got postponed till June 11 due to the nationwide lockdown because of the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Admit Cards were released on June 5 and June 8, 2020 after which AIIMS confirms that it will conduct the exam on June 11, 2020 from 1:00 P.M to 2:30 P.M.
Earlier in the announcement, AIIMS released a thorough guideline regarding the social distancing norms on the day of the exam. The conducting body strictly instructed the staff to follow the guidelines properly and to take care of the candidates during the exam.
The Exam Authority took a few important steps like social distancing, staggered entry, hand sanitizers at the entrances, temperature checks to conduct the exam successfully.
AIIMS has also managed a bar code entry system for the candidates to appear for the exam. Candidates were required to scan their Admit cards using the touchless barcode scanner at the entrance to get the complete details of their allocated seat. However, their IDs were checked maintaining the social distancing norms.
Candidates were also provided with a declaration form disclaiming their health status after entering the exam centre.
Candidates were made to wear masks during their exams whereas the security staff and invigilators were wearing masks as well as face-shields during the examination. Candidates were also provided with hand sanitizers and surgical three ply masks, though most of them were wearing their personal masks.
As far as the security and hygiene was concerned, AIIMS did an excellent job conducting a hassle free examination in this extraordinary time but the only drawback of the examination process was that many candidates were unable to attend the examination.
