The Bar Council of India has released a new All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XV 2020 schedule. The examination will now be conducted in offline mode on November 08, 2020.
The last date of registration has been extended until October 17, 2020, but registered candidates will be allowed to submit their AIBE XV 2020 application form until October 24, 2020.
The BCI had previously released the application form on May 16, 2020, and the original examination was scheduled to take place on August 16, 2020. However, in view of the outbreak of COVID-19, the examination was postponed indefinitely.

About All India Bar Examination
The BCI conducts AIBE every year. Law graduates or those in the final year/semester of their LLB are eligible to apply for the examination.
AIBE is a Certificate exam through which BCI sets a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law.
Candidates who qualify in AIBE are awarded Certificate of Practice (COP) by BCI, which enables them to practice in a court of law in India.
AIBE is an open book exam conducted for 3 ½ hours. The question paper consists of 100 objective type questions form legal subjects. There is no negative marking in the examination.
