Leading scholars from both disciplines will challenge you to consider important questions in two broad domains: the methodological and the normative.

Questions relating to methodology include: Are social structures better understood as systems of laws and forces, or as webs of meanings and practices? Is social action better viewed as rational behaviour, or as self-expression? Questions concerning normative issues include: What is a just society? How should we evaluate the institutions that govern our everyday lives?

This high-level programme attracts talented and motivated students. In-class debates with fellow students will fine-tune your reasoning and arguing skills. Small classes allow for direct contact with your lecturers, who are invested in developing your potential.
