The Biology programme is offered by?University of Groningen.
Students with a broad interest in biology are able to design a tailor-made programme under the guidance of a staff member who will coach the student throughout their master's programme. Nowadays the most exciting discoveries are often made using a multidisciplinary approach. As a student you will be closely involved with our research, which is organised within the internationally recognized Groningen Institute for Evolutionary Life Sciences (GELIFES). We offer research in a unique diversity of Biological areas. As a student you are offered the opportunity to combine different areas of biology - such as Ecology and Evolution, Marine Biology, Neurosciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Molecular Biology - in their Master's degree programme.
Specialisation Behaviour and Neurosciences
In addition, the degree programme also offers you the possibility to specialise in a combination of two specific terrains of expertise in biology: Behaviour and Neurosciences. This specialisation focuses on the factors that affect behaviour in humans and animals. We offer unique facilities to study a wide array of animal models, including insects, fish, rodents, birds, and humans.
Science, Business & Policy (track)
Interested in the policy or business side of science? We offer a Science, Business & Policy profile. This profile combines a six-month research training with a six-month internship related to the application of scientific insights in business, policy or administration.
