The program has a firm methodological, research oriented basis, with a strong connection between statistics and content-related theories. The programme offers a series of advanced courses on theory building, reflecting on science, research methods and statistics, including training on programming and computer skills. The two research projects (Traineeship and Thesis) are essential for gaining experience in performing research, while being embedded in an active research group. A unique feature of the program is the opportunity to specialize as well as being trained in multidisciplinary research. The first step into specialization is taken by choosing one of the following three thematically oriented domains:
