As of the second quartile you will choose one of the following specializations, each focusing on a specific area within the field. You can now also opt to obtain a teaching degree.

  • Personalized monitoring and coaching. In this specialization you will focus on how to use wearables, smartphones and other technology to gather individual patient data and how to use this information to improve healthcare.
  • Optimization of healthcare processes. In this specialization you will focus on the strategic component of patient-oriented healthcare management: how is healthcare arranged, both financially and practically, and how can improvements be made?
  • Innovation in public health. In this specialization you can look into all kinds of innovative ways to improve public healthcare, e.g. by investigating how technology can contribute to fighting obesity. You will also learn how to prevent health professionals from treating similar patients differently.

Upon graduation you can decide to pursue a professional career in the healthcare sector right away. With a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences, you will be ideally suited to tackle challenges at the highest level in all areas of healthcare, for instance:
