• During the Bachelor of Philosophy program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, students will study relevant social issues from a theoretical, historical, and practical philosophical perspective.
  • Together with fellow students, students will learn to condense complex problems to the core issues. Students will hone their understanding and practice fashioning reasoned arguments, preparing them to contribute to solving problems facing today's society.
  • During the program, there are extensive reading and intensive writing assignments. Students will be engaged in debate with fellow students, learn to support their arguments, and develop their own position. Student lecturers are thought leaders who participate in international research projects and are parties to public debates. They will often be introducing their research topics into the classroom. If students go for the Bachelor of Philosophy at the VU Amsterdam, they will be mixing with students from diverse backgrounds hailing from all over the world.
  • Due to the ongoing pandemic (COVID-19), the university is providing the B.A. of Philosophy classes online.
