Applications to the undergraduate programs can be made directly to the university's international office, while admissions to the PG programs are administered internally via PAC and the candidates need to pay an application fee of 50 EUR. Waterford Institute of Technology Admission Deadlines

The deadline for submitting applications for undergraduate courses is 31st May 2021. Late applications will be accepted until the end of June if places are available on a case-by-case basis. The last date for foundation programs is 10th August.

International students planning to study in Ireland and pursue a degree at Waterford Institute of Technology must apply for Ireland Student Visa  via the Ireland Naturalisation and Immigration Service website and schedule for an interview with the Irish Consulate in their home country through video conference with the following documents:

Waterford Institute of Technology Undergraduate Admission

Waterford Institute of Technology offers several programs at the undergraduate level in business, science, humanities, engineering, and health science. Waterford Institute of Technology Postgraduate Admissions

WIT offers a wide range of taught and research programs at the postgraduate level across its 5 academic schools. While most of the Taught courses begin in September, research programs are carried out throughout the year. Applications for funded research postgraduate programs shall be submitted directly to the Institute through an application form to pgadmissions@wit.ie, whereas for taught programs and non-funded PG research programs, applications can be made through PAC. Ques. How much money would be required for an international student for expenses?

Ans. It is estimated that an international student would require around €7000-€11000 per annum to meet their living expenses. Cost of living.

Ques. Can an international student work while study at Waterford Institute?

Ans. International students who pursue full-time courses can work part-time for 20 hours per week and 40 hours per week during summer and winter college holidays. Candidates can take up casual employment only if the course of study is available in the government's list of eligible courses.

Ques. Do I need medical insurance to get a study visa in Ireland?

Ans. Yes, overseas candidates must have medical insurance to study in Ireland. It is a prerequisite to obtaining a study visa. Candidates can obtain medical insurance from their own country or through an Ireland Insurance agent.

Ques. Is the student fee Waterford Institute of Technology refundable?

Ans. International students can get a refund of the tuition fee or the deposit fee if their study visa is refused or if the program they applied for is no more available at the Institute.

The tuition fee is also refundable in exemption circumstances with a charge of 10%.
