Our mentorship programme is a unique feature of our curriculum. Each newly admitted student will be assigned to and mentored by one of our senior faculty members (mentor), from whom the student can seek advice and guidance throughout his or her university life. In addition to the advisory function, the mentor will also lead his or her mentees in an introductory course designed to enhance students' understanding of the sociological approach to studying society. With a small class size, this introductory course will give students plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas with their mentors and fellow classmates. In their final year of study, students are required to complete a capstone course under the supervision of our faculty members. In this course, students will be given the chance to apply their analytic and research skills to tackle a real-life issue and be provided with the opportunity to integrate the sociological knowledge they have learned from the programme.
