The University of Osnabrück offers music/musicology with a broad and practical integrated music education. The subject consists equally of historical musicology, systematic musicology (including music education), music theory and artistic practice.
Music technology should also be emphasized. In addition to the instrumental main subject lessons, the practical skills in school piano playing and singing lessons are expanded. In addition, the students participate in various bands, orchestras and choirs.
