‘Welfenschloss’ building is the main location of the University. The building consists of nine faculties committed to providing educational excellence.

Leibniz University of Hannover Scholarship and Financial Aid

The International Office of LUH provides two types of financial aid to their international students.

Emergency Grant- This stipend is only available once throughout the academic year. International students who are experiencing a temporary financial crisis can request emergency assistance. The amount depends on the type of emergency type & funding available.
Degree Completion Grant- It aims to assist overseas students at LUH having financial difficulties over their degree completion phase. Eligible students are required to have registered for the thesis during application submission.

International students can also apply for external scholarships offered in Germany. Every year, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers financial assistance to over 100,000 german domestic and international students hailing from diverse countries across the world.

Work while you study

For international students, their work status depends on their residence status. German and preparatory courses students are allowed to work during holidays in their first year.
