In a cooperation that is unique in Lower Saxony, the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the University of Osnabrück jointly offer a bachelor's and master's degree in the field of vocational training.
The course is organized in stages. It starts with the bachelor's degree course "Vocational Training". First, the mathematical, scientific and technical basics of metal technology are taught at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The fourth and fifth semesters focus on didactic principles.

Following are the requirements for this program:

To start studying, students need a sufficient university entrance qualification.
In principle, proof can be provided by both school and vocational training.
With regard to school-based university entrance qualifications, a distinction is made between the general higher education entrance qualification, which entitles to study in all courses at a university ( e.g. Abitur), and a subject-related higher education entrance qualification, which enables subject-related study.
