The Institute for Mathematics is characterized by intensive and individual support. Research-strong working groups in algebra / discrete mathematics, applied analysis, geometry/topology and stochastics offer students attractive opportunities to delve deeper into a field of mathematics in the second half of their studies. In addition to classic application subjects such as business administration, computer science, physics or economics, students can study applied systems science, geoinformatics or cognitive science as another subject.
