Romance studies deal with the languages, literatures and cultures of the Romansh-speaking world as they inherited from the Roman Empire in parts of Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania) and due to colonization also on other continents (e.g. Latin America ) has formed.
French languages, cultures and literatures have been the focus of research and teaching since the Renaissance, with particular interest from the 20th century to the present.

French language skills according to language level B2 according to the common European reference framework (GERR). Proof of this knowledge of French is deemed to have been achieved with a completed Bachelor's degree in French or with an equivalent previous degree
Knowledge of a foreign language in the scope of a four-year continuous foreign language course (advanced secondary level I) or
Corresponding achievements or degrees, for example the language level B1 according to the common European reference framework
