Philosophy lies in the combination of basic research and application in the areas of epistemology and science theory, technology philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of mind, language and culture, ethics and political philosophy. 
During their studies, students will refine the philosophical methods and learn to contribute independently to the research discourses in these areas.
