Students of the degree program “M.Sc. Environmental Sciences/Umweltwissenschaften” receive a broad grounding in environmental sciences. They learn to consider and approach problems from the perspective of a range of disciplines. The students receive training in methods from earth science, soil science, meteorology, biology, and hydrology as well as in technical methods and approaches for solving environmental problems. Since sustainable solutions to environmental problems also need to take issues of societal acceptance into account, another important component of the curriculum is training in political, socioeconomic, and planning skills.
